First impressions

Research suggests that most students, parents and staff dislike the idea of Vertical Tutoring when it is first proposed for their school, but also that most love it once they've done it for a few years. What's your experience?

At our school the first couple of days of VT have gone well. The 11s took their role of inducting the 7s really seriously but also seemed to enjoy it, even though they were deeply sceptical of the idea right up until the moment they went to collect their inductees from the hall. Likewise the 7s seemed to look up to the 11s. I had positive feedback from the dozen or so tutors I asked. Early days yet though.
